Duke of York Visits NanoAnalysis High Wycombe

HRH The Duke of York, KG visited Oxford Instruments NanoAnalysis on Thursday 28th February, 2013 and saw a demonstration of its market leading AZtec microanalysis system, which is used on electron microscopes the world over. His Royal Highness then met development and software engineers, technical staff and some of the firm’s young apprentices. In a speech to the staff The Duke of York spoke of the important role companies like Oxford Instruments play in the growth and success of the UK and how impressed he was with the culture of innovation and inclusivity seen during his visit.

Nanotechnology is one of the fastest growing areas of interest around the world. High Wycombe based Oxford Instruments NanoAnalysis is one of the leading providers of high technology systems that analyse and characterise matter at the very smallest scale. Its highly skilled team of developers and engineers has won five Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation.

His Royal Highness’s visit to Oxford Instruments NanoAnalysis was part of his continued focus on promoting and recognising businesses at the forefront of maintaining the United Kingdom’s global reputation for excellence in technology and science.
