Tekdata Wins Major Export Aerospace Contract
Tekdata Interconnections is pleased to announce that it has won a major export contract to supply wiring systems for a new European aircraft; providing a massive opportunity for the company.
Due to the commercially sensitive nature of the contract, we are unable to publish specific details but we can confirm that the production programme is scheduled to run for 15 years.
At this time we are producing first off wiring systems for pre-production aircraft and qualification. Once this initial qualification and new product implementation period is completed, main production will begin.
This contract is significant in expanding our customer base and specialist harsh environment interconnection products capability adding newly developed processes that maintain the company’s position at the forefront of interconnection technology and further endorsing Tekdata’s ability to provide flight critical specialized wiring systems into main stream aerospace manufacturing companies.
The company’s breadth of technologies and applications include aero control systems, large numbers of military communications systems, advanced missiles, military specification IT racks, harnesses and related equipment for spacecraft, and satellite land systems. Tekdata also has substantial interests in industrial, medical, nuclear, motorsport and transport infrastructure equipment.
